I just called my doctor and he told me you’ll be fine as long as the sex occurred outside of your area code.

About 13,200 new HPV oral cancers are diagnosed in U.S. men each year, compared with 3,200 in women, according to federal data. Treatment – surgery, chemotherapy, radiation – can have disfiguring, disabling side effects. About half of late-stage patients die within five years.

Damn.

Just to add facts to the hysteria

The heavy majority of men who get HPV, will show no symptoms, and will eventually be hpv free before anything serious happens

And when I say the heavy majority I mean like 99.9%. It is extremely rare for men to contract HPV, and have it turn into anything serious

Bingo.

Gardasil seems to be having sales difficulty. Nothing like some propaganda to boost quarterlies.

Also, to add more relief, 90% of men diagnosed with HPV caused throat cancer are completely disease free within 5 years.

Couple of things:

1) we weren't routinely testing for hpv/p16+ tumors until about 15 years ago. So yeah the rate has tripled in the last 20years b/c we weren't testing it then. Yes there is higher rate of oral cancer due to hpv as opposed smoking/alcohol than their used to be but hard to say what extent.

2) hpv+/p16+ base of tongue and tonsil cancer has very good prognosis. So much so that they just changed the staging guidelines to indicated the difference.

But you can only take it when you're younger, if you're over 26 then it has no effect.

lol i chew too. Only like 3-4 times a week... I have did some research. Cancer is one of those things they really dont understand. Genetics, tobacco, alcohol, preservatives in food, steroids in food, chemicals, They blame it on any and everything. I have kmown plenty of men dip until they were 80 and zero cancer. And others die of lung cancer and never smoke

I’m dipping two cans of day of the grizzly pouches

Switched to pouches a couple of years ago because the longcut was fricking up my gums

Hopefully the pouches decrease the likelihood of cancer more than the longcut

You can thank your ancestors who boned cave men. The strain of HPV that causes cancer originated in Neanderthals. Interbreeding with them passed it to Homo Sapiens.
