The oracle statement said they will allow employees to choose what location they work from since many work from home as it is. So not as many will be moving to Texas.

You don't think it will change the direction of the state? I do, although I also think it will probably take a long time.
I think companies are moving to Texas because of their pro business climate and that Democrats will likely reverse a lot of that eventually. They certainly aren't moving from California to Texas for the scenery and weather.

So they can move to Texas for all business friendly reasons but their liberal employees can say “well Austin is like an island of sanity in a sea of insanity.”
Then in a few months they get to talk about how much Austin has changed and isnt weird like when they first moved there
