Options to keep my son's ticket off his record

Kids get life advice from parents and choose to ignore that life advice.
In this instance, my 19 year old son ignored my advice to keep his cruise set at 5 mph over the posted limit and decided to set it at 79 while traveling along I-10 in Lafayette, a 70 mph zone.
Just got popped doing 82 in a 70.
This is his first ticket. Not worried about the fine since he will be paying for it. I am looking for options to keep this ticket off his record and causing his insurance to skyrocket, which I am paying for.
I know in the past there were some defense driving class options that could be taken to keep moving violations off one's record. Not sure that is still available.
TIA for any advice that can be provided...

Pay an attorney $350 to either get it dropped or get your son into a driving program and then Article 894 that booger. (If Louisiana still has that)

See if the D.A. has a traffic ticket diversion program.

Just get it fixed. Another life lesson learned.

Contact the Office that handles the traffic violations court. They can help out. Pretty sure LA has a diversion program, all day divers safety class, pay the fine, and the ticket is not on his record. You will pay for the course and the fines. So Jr getsnhis lesson financially.

Why don’t you just pay his ticket for him?

Provide sexual favors for the DA

Take defensive driving? Should be easy.

Who busted him? Trooper or local?

I am surprised it took 10 replies for one to go this direction!

Just have him pay (to you) the difference in his insurance every month.
Also, your son sounds like a real a-hole.

Quit paying for this... problem will solve itself.
Made my boys get thier own insurance from the start, only took one ticket each to learn that what dad said would happen did come to pass.

If thinking that your dad doesn't know what he is talking about with his advice, then he is guilty of being an a-hole.
