OP's don't get enough credit here

Does anyone notice how some of the best threads are started by OPs who get downvoted into oblivion because people think their posts/topics are "stupid," yet the replies that are generated makes the threads awesome?
I can't tell you how many threads I've seen where the OP gets 50 plus downvotes, and within the first page people reply and the repliers get 20+ and sometimes even 100+ upvotes and eventually the thread turns into multi-page greatness. Of course, everyone forgets without the OP's such greatness wouldn't be possible...
...So, why all the hatred toward OP's?

I see your point. It seems as if a lot of people get downvoted just because of who they are and not the content of their post. OPs generally don't get the credit they deserve, but who gives a frick?
