I do know the Hawaiian local government there has been weird about shite, to the point of seeming shady.
One part inept
One part racist
One part lazy
One part dumb
One part entitled
Voila! You got it.

She's been burning women's brains for decades. I wonder how many divorces she's directly responsible for.
I'd JIMP if she got thrown in jail.

Y'all remember people really wanted fricking OPRAH to be president?

just another conspiracy theory. they sell. Oprah Winfrey didn't have a damn thing to do with that fire. she has recently set up some sort of trust to help the victims rebuild. there are other conspiracy theory's about how the fire started; Bill Gates did it; the US Navy did it; China did it, etc etc. it was a fricking fire and they get started all the time over the world when it's very dry. but the truth just doesn't sell in America; it's gotta be a juicy ole Conspiracy Theory.

I don't think she was involved, but I can't stand her so whatever. Hopefully, people will wake up to what a vile human being she is.

I'll give you an up-vote just to put pressure on the weird Oprah. Hard to believe she could pull it off but it's possible I guess.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me. Oprah is a terrible terrible human being. One of the worst humans walking on this earth. She's very racist and narcissistic.

fact! I had her on several flights to and from Jackson, MS back in the day, she would buy up the seats around her in first class(I can't blame her for that,) so no one could sit near her, she would insist that she only be served by white flight attendants, and was a rude, condescending count to everyone she came in contact with

Go listen to her story about Julius, the fella she met with burns all over his legs who had just lost his home. When she asks if there’s anything she can get him, he tells the billionaire black lady he has everything he needs. Oprah was moved by that. Almost like, in that moment, she had a human emotion.
Pretty deep shite for billionaire black lady who talked to women on TV, professionally.

The reason for the high black fences is the dead are all over the place and the authorities don’t want pictures being taken that show the horror of what happened because they don’t want to be held accountable for the outcome of the horrible decisions that were made from a disaster management standpoint that day.
Lol... it's to keep people out. It's 2023, drones are now capable of dropping bombs.

People keep saying this but she's been in the middle of a land grab for a minute. She own's over 1000acres and could really scoop up a shite ton on land in South Maui and Upcountry Maui.
But man, look at Lahaina in West Maui. That's some PRIME real estate right there and those people have been openly defiant about selling their properties for decades. The natives consider sacred in a historical way.

FAA is keeping drones from flying over as well by having made it a no fly zone. They really don’t want any pictures.
Why are pictures of dead people supposed to be so secret? Especially when everyone that’s been asked has said they want these pictures of the carnage published.

Because conspiracies are a hell of a lot easier to believe than accepting the fact that this fire was 100+ years in the making and was the ultimate result of human greed and mismanagement. Believing Oprah caused it is a hell of a lot easier than accepting the fact that you sold your native lands to corporate farms that didn't give a shite when they came there, and gave even less of a shite when they left. It is easier to point the finger at government mismanagement when the people spent the last 100 years turning their native lands into some non-natural abomination with the sole purpose of making tourists go "Oooooo and Ahhhhhh". It is a whole lot easier on the mind and the soul to find scapegoats to blame for no sirens and such than it is to accept reality that there was, in fact, a multi-layer warning system with coverage on television, radio, social media, NOAA weather radio, and a fancy, free state-of-the art mobile/cell phone public messaging and warning system that few voluntarily signed up for. It is easier to paint government conspiracies around water than to acknowledge that the lingering tribalistic nature of your communities led directly to distrust and poor management of water sources. It is easier to blame it all on climate than to accept the fact that this was an entirely different kind of man made disaster that 100% could have been avoided.
Hawaiians have a whole bunch of tough decisions that need to be made going forward. The likelihood of those decisions being made is slim. The chance that greed and corporatism continues to rule is the heavy favorite.
