Shreveport is not like the 4th largest metro in the US. More at 10!

Being an Alabamian, I'm not sure I'd rather be compared to Shreveport or New Orleans

Shreveport is so awful. It’s way worse than any other city in Louisiana. It’s falling apart and they’re doing nothing about it.

Say what you want about Br and Nola but it has some good qualities I’m not going to list. Can’t say the same for shitport

In Summary, Shreveport is closer in proximity to Dallas than New Orleans, but it most closely resembles Jackson, Mississippi?

You are describing most of rural America. My in laws and their friends in Idaho fit all of the above. Travel baseball isn’t as big a deal but it’s cold a lot of the year. They trout fish but have some nice lakes around too.

As far as overall southern culture, east Texas definitely fits.. once you get to Dallas and Austin not as much.

Shreveports traffic is exponentially better than BR. There are neighborhoods in South Shreveport that are better than anything BR has to offer. You can drive 15 minutes from Downtown Shreveport (on a loop!) And be in the country. You don't have to worry about hurricanes or floods.

Granted Shreveport vs BR vs NO is a fight for smartest kid in the special needs class, but it's not as cut and dry as you make it out to be.

Dang, NOLA is only 60% black and Latoya still wins by a landslide? Obviously most city voters think she's going a good job.

Shreveport to the most similar region, Mississippi and Alabama are the best to compare to. People in Shreveport talk extremely similarly to MS, AL in my experience,

North Louisiana and East Texas was settled by people from the Carolinas, Georgia, and Alabama to farm cotton.

Obvious troll.
But why is SHV the worst city in the State? And where do you live?

Shreveport is a bunch of people who’s parents were too poor to live in Dallas

I can’t honestly name one redeeming quality about Shreveport.

The drive through on I-20 may be one of the more depressing sites in the country.

Having lived the first half of my life there, I have some love for the place but now have no desire to live there. The politics of LA are supported by welfare recipients who vote in a way to continue handouts rather than economic growth. Shreveport was lucky to get the Haynesville shale boost but otherwise offers no opportunity to prosper. The place is poorly managed by people with an agenda which varies greatly from all the white supremacists on this site.

As for Cowboys fans, before cable TV we saw them every Sunday. While you guys were wearing bags on your heads we were winning Superbowls. It’s changing, thanks to Jerah being such an egotistical asshat

And decaying? Shreveport has a fricking Porsche Dealership.... BR didn't have one until Brian Harris branded one of his dealerships to Porsche.
