The widening will start. But anyone notice that the College Drive Express exit(westbound) will be first to get the hatchet if over budget.

That part of the project is very interesting to me b/c it's something smart that a city like Dallas would do. It's impressive. So to see it go poof! wouldn't surprise anyone but would be disappointing(figure 3 below).

Department of Transportation and Development. Ma Paw did 40+ years there. I did a Summer Intern(bidness admin) in 96.

I like that your impotent old arse is nekkid though.

So you are not in this thread, I come in to the thread to make a silly remark to my dear friend Mike, and you follow me in here. Why are you so obsessed with me? Is it because I've offended you in the past? Is it because I pointed out your continued inability to speak and write clearly? Why don't you leave me alone?

I swear to 8 lb baby Lucifer if you two cockmonkeys dick up this thread.....

Some of us live along this corridor and are legit invested/interested in the project. Now shush or contribute.

Someone volunteer to go to the meeting tonight and snap a pic of any poster or document with the property list on it. I can't get there till after my son's football practice close to 8pm.

Purty please. I'll buy you a beer and shot.

Let's get real, you are mostly concerned for Ivar's.

I hope you and Rowbear drown in dick juice after the 3rd Quarter Sunday night.

I am concerned about the new ramps and what convenience store is being taken(There's a closed Shell by TJ Ribs that would make sense if the new/longer On ramp goes BEHIND Ribs).

I am also interested in how/if Smokie had anything to do with protecting his George's strip where City Pork/Lulu/Our hardware are also located up against the current Perkins on ramp. Basically Why is Merchant being taken but not Georges & Co.?

I am interested in snapping up a rental property or two rather quickly from the affected listings in the event the owners don't want to deal with the State or wait for them to come through(basically the older folks or vacant ones).

So shut up. I'm smart too. Not just a drunk ole dirty fricker.

Are you saying the somewhat new overpass merchant is going to be taken out?

I can’t wait to see the one lane added 7 years from now.

You know there’s no way they do any work on a loop while this project is going on. Which means we’re looking at 2025 before they even do an evnviromental study on someone’s backyard for a loop.

A loop isn't happening in my lifetime.

That's what I'm wondering. Wasn't that building on a historic register or something that caused troubles when Zee-Zees closed?

Smart way to reduce the number of attendees. Hold it in a place where most of the informed people who know about the meeting are scared to go. Maybe they aren't as dumb as we think.

Easier movement of traffic and freight in the region impacts up to a million people in south Louisiana. One of those studies actually recommended this project based on the biggest “bang for the buck” in having the most traffic impact per dollar than any other project proposed in the capital area.

I would hope that the people on the route negotiate for landscaping, lighting, and sound mitigation/walls to be included instead of holding up the project for a useless piece of property that no one wants anyway.

I am nervous that my property may be one of these rentals near The Merchant

The article seems to indicate that they aren’t taking any residential properties in the overpass area, but they need some around Washington Street.

I’m actually surprised they won’t need more than that, but I guess they are trying to utilize the space between the decks and maybe not including shoulders on the freeway in some areas.
