It's typically baked into your offer sheet, and quite frankly I could easily go find another job in my field with the same or better benefits if they wanted to shite on their employees.

united currently, but my company is switching to BCBS for 2018. coverage is identical.

I could pay extra premium to lower it to like $500 but it wasn't work it. max out of pocket is $3000 and the other was $2500.

$650 Individual; $1,300 Two-person; $1,950 Family

Out-of-pocket maximum:
In Network
$1,600 Individual; $3,200 Two-person; $4,800 Family
Out of Network
$4,000 Individual; $8,000 Two-person; $12,000 Family; excludes deductible

Primary doctor office visit:
In Network
$30 copay
Out of Network
70% of the allowable amount covered after annual deductible is met


Cost:

You Alone $70.00

Bunch of other shite in there too for hospital and specialist. Either 30 dollar copay or 90% coverage.

I just realized I have no in network deductible #WINNING.

My wife and daughter are on the wife's plan. Deductible is $1,800. So we have to meet the deductible before the co-pay kicks in.

$5,000 out of pocket maximum (in network).

so your in network deductible and out of pocket max are better than mine obviously, but my copays are $25 and 100% coverage on basically everything. the only thing that isn't is radiology and inpatient/outpatient hospital that is at 80% after my $700 deductible and specialist is 100% after $50 copay.

cost is $65 to me. man it's awesome to have great healthcare being self employed and paying 100% out of pocket for shite coverage sucked
