Porn sites are currently going through two issues:
'Legal Verification' and 'Proper Payment'.
The first does a lot of good by removing the criminal and predatory stuff (ex-girlfriend revenge, rape, and under-18s). The downside is that a few websites have interpreted the rules as "Remove all 'Adults consenting to sex and recording it for people to view.' material", because it you can't 100% verify everyone involved signed off, even though a jury of your peers could.
The 'Proper Payment' part is something YouTube is probably going through as well. If I make a video, and it gets 1 Million views, do I not deserve some amount of the ad-revenue? Probably, but what if you and her recorded a fling and put it online? Who gets what, and how does proper payment go out? Well, probably just easier to remove it.
What we get left with is: a) BangBros and other well contracted, choreographed, and hyper-well shot material that is too fake to be fun to watch, when it's not just an advertising funnel anyway. OR b) Mandating that actual amateurs (people who just put an iPhone down and hit record) put themselves down in someone's ledger as "Porn Artist". This is just an opportunity for someone else to victimize someone.
