Online Sock Company Asks For a Tip at Checkout

Seriously?? Are we now expected to tip with every purchase?? I ordered some socks with our dogs face for a Christmas happy for my SO and was asked to support the Pup Socks team by offering a tip. Did I not support the team by ordering their product??
