maybe we will meet in person some day instead of TD.
God I hope not.
You never know when you pass another poster..well, maybe sometimes you can assume, but for the most part you've probably crossed paths

This Quarantine has shown, even though we have more ways to communicate and stay in touch with the world, there is no replacement for human interaction
My 5 year old got to do a video conference with some of his (former) classmates today. He was so excited. It made me sad.

I'm an introvert and certainly enjoy my alone time but I wouldn't want to do this permanently.

Be happy hes able to do that. We had to rent VCRs in the 80s.
Motherfrickers came like suitcases.

I thought you were going to say that the word Quarantine literally means 40 day period. That's how long Italian cities such as Venice would make sailors wait on their ships before getting off in case they had the plague. (Originally, it was 30 days and was called Trentino).
Trenton, NJ makes so much more sense now.

younger people today would rather text someone in the other room than to get up and go talk to them,
It ain’t just younger people. My dad is 70 and he won’t get off the couch unless no one is there to bring him another beer

I don't want to meet these rejects in person.

my wife and I text back and forth in a 700 sq ft apartment if we are in the bathroom/kitchen.
I am not missing human interaction one bit.
neither is your wife.
cause shes fricking some guy from her gym who actually talks to her.

feeling awkward and socially introverted to the point of being incapable of human interaction is not being "more efficient".

Probably because they're smart enough to realize communication is more than written word.

My wife's family calls each other on the telephone even when they're all at home. I imagine that during the land line era they'd just sort of pick up the handsets and use it like an intercom system.

Meh... the older I get I find that conversation with people i don't know isn't worth the energy. Apart from talking with my loved ones, people at work, and whatever women involved in my life, I really don't care what other people have to say.

Such odd balls.

I much prefer quarantine life of little human interaction than normal life. So much more time to do other things

I actually enjoy getting out of the house, going to lunch, interacting with coworkers etc.
I don't particularly like being cooped up in the house all day like this. I think it sucks.
