While the numbers are debatable it is obvious to people in the know that they pics coming out are not is Russian main active military but of there reservist type.
While no where near the quality of the US, Russia has better equipment and troops than what is being shown.

Not brilliant, considering his entire narrative is that this isn't an invasion; it's a peace keeping force that was going to be welcomed with open arms. The longer this conflict drags on, more and more of the international community are going to line up against him. The only way to have "won" this was to ride in with overwhelming force and start the occupation before anyone has time to get their pants on. I very seriously doubt that any of this is going according to Putin's plan, and on the off chance it is, it was a blindingly stupid plan.

I think thar claim was made about the Russian mission in Donbas and Crimea, not about the invasion.

Look at a map of NATO 1990s vs today and then ask the question who was baiting who into a confrontation. If, say, China overthrew a pro US Mexican government, like Ukraine in 2014, and then bribed Mexico into joining a military alliance against the U.S., we would completely lose our shite.
