This is why people should resist apartment and condo developments no matter how “nice” they originally might be.

If only St. Tammany understood this.

HUD money is poison, but the pols and developers take it. Section 8 is just another name for projects

They were watching A Christmas Story and saw Ralphie go off on Fargas and inspired them to do the same. Can't think of anything else that could cause a shooting today in BR.

Hate to say it, but the Lee and Burbank area is gonna be Blvd. De Province meets Gardere On steroids in 10-15 years.

1000% but it was always going in that direction.

Sherwood too, but that Section 8 housing Post Katrina did it in.

You’ve got to clear out those apartments

The drive and dedication that Baton Rouge is showing right now is phenomenal. They want 170+, and nothing is gonna stop them, not even Santa.

Just 30 years ago it was a good area. North Baton Rouge is spreading.

at this point we could start a Fantasy Murder league based on neighborhoods. Maybe the Sadvocate can set that up.

I agree. Brightside is already trying to be Sherwood Lite and Ben Hur is turning into a bigger shithole every year as less LSU students live in those apartments.

I’m going to give old BR the secret. Ready ?

Mandate that ALL who live in an apartment in your city abide by the same rules other larger complexes abide by, and that’s pass a credit check and criminal background check. If you fail. You gotta live somewhere else.

This is what happens when a city gets greedy and overbuilds Apartment complexes. Areas get desperate for renters and the low life’s move in..

That is it. End the havens for criminals by these slum lords who rent to anyone with a fricking pulse.

It’s a start, and you have to at least start.

Yeah if your neighborhood is mentioned by name in a Boosie song, you should probably relocate.

Boosie lived in a neighborhood off Millerville for a bit. He knows the Sherwood swerve

I used to live not to far from there, in Willow Bend Lake apartments off of Mead road back in the early 2000's. Those apartments were really nice, safe and had some of the hottest chicks you ever seen working the front office. Drove by there a few months ago just for nostalgia's sake. Yikes...not completely ghetto yet but they're about 6 months away from it.
