Yeah, its pretty much known that she did it better than anyone else. IMO, while she isn't on Whitney's level, the 2nd best performance was done by Lady GaGa.

I've heard it was prerecorded and she lip-synced it, I've heard it wasn't prerecorded for Whitney did not want to lip-sync it.

I have no idea but I doubt someone who could sing like Whitney would lip-sync. Maybe if it was really cold outside, but I think that SB was in Tampa Bay.
It's sad what happened to her because she was so talented. I remember watching something on her and it suggested that she was having a relationship with a woman which they kept behind closed doors because her parents were religious people big in the church and she was worried they would disown her.. She eventually married Bobby Brown and at some point after they married the girl she supposedly was having a relationship with, her and BB didn't get along and she up and moved..
If that is the case, I am sure that played a factor in her drug use. But that girl could sing like nobody else.
