Well done. Pretty impressive.

Congrats! Now that you brought it up, I did the math. This year marked my 50th
year since I quit.

I thought this was the outdoor board at first. Was gonna tell you to start using pre-emergents.

I think most people laugh off calling it addictive bc the withdrawal effects from things like opiates can be hell on earth.
For sure, I got off benzos in my twenties and that was a nightmare. Wanted to walk out into traffic. Weed doesn’t compare to that but it’s definitely tough to quit something I’ve been doing every day for decades. Exercise helps.

I hope you don’t start using again and misjudge your tolerance and od

I had to quit so I could graduate LSU.
Shite made me stupid, but it was fun.

I did that a few months ago, hadn’t smoked in months and ate some shrooms and took one toke and driving home was like a magic carpet ride, literally. I was floating down the road.

I can definitely tell that my mood is more level, no more extreme highs and lows. I also dream all night long now, when I was on weed I didn’t dream at all.
That's interesting. Was talking to one of my old college roommates, who's a longtime, regular user of all variety and manner of delivery. in college, we regularly talked about the weird dreams we had after pulling all-nighters or drinking too much or whatever. Recently when I asked him about it, he just said "No, I don't have dreams. I just close my eyes and I'm out." Sounded weird to me.

That’s cool that you put that school bus full of children at risk

After smoking daily for 20 years, I quit about 18 months ago because I got a company car, and for me the pros do not outweigh the cons. I miss it. Yard work, home projects, running/working out, hiking, cooking, etc.- all better with weed.
I drink more now and it’s a shitty substitute.

One month weed free
Totally read this wrong. Was thinking it was about signing up for a program that gave you a month of free weed.

I quit cold turkey in my early twenties. Quitting was a big part of getting my life together.

I’ve smoked for well over 20 years, almost 40. At no point has it ever become an addiction

No addict ever thinks they're addicted; they just know a really good way to treat their anxiety and depression.

Congrats brother
I recently celebrated 35 yrs of sobriety. I don’t judge people as the decision and reason to quit smoking/drinking has to come from within.

Not sure what it is but I've had more vivid dreams within the past few weeks than I have in a long time
I had the same result when I quit dipping. Dreams were so real that I had one make me think I had taken a dip and ended my two year streak haha
