Katrina and recent mayor's may have hurt Baton Rouge too

John Parker killed BR. Just slowly over about 15-20 years.

Of course busing expedited BR's decline, though with the demographic shift in southern cities it would have occurred eventually anyway

If you could show them today,
What would they say?
Do you think that it all,
Would still go down that way?

Late 80s, I remember a guy who played a solo acoustic guitar set there.....he was the spitting image of the then long-haired Michael Bolton.

Kirk Holder. Helluva guy and a great performer. Many pitchers of beer were had on Tuesday nights with Kirk at the Caterie.

A massive blaze at The Caterie, a popular restaurant and nightclub in Baton Rouge, left it completely destroyed

The Caterie fire was one of those events I was in disbelief the first time I heard it reported. Total disbelief.

Did my story become legend?

All I know is some dude shut the power off to the whole place after getting kicked out, then got chased by 30 people only to escape unscathed
