Skuter, what's going on with the road???

Yes, I'd like to know what's going on with the road. Still holding out hope that we stay dry....

So can anyone tell me where specifically is being threatened by this particular rising water? I have family right off old Perkins on Edgewood just past Bluff Rd. And my parents live near 73/74 intersection. Are either in danger based on rising waters here?

I can't speak for the other end of bluff but 73/74 should be ok for tonight.

So 74 at Bluff should be ok? What makes you confident in that?

Any idea of what this means for the 74/bluff corner? I realize this can't be answered exactly, just worried about my kids and looking for openions from those paying better attention. I'm in Lakes of Dutchtown. Thanks in advanced.

Ascension DPW said there was a hole in Bayou Manchac Road that they didn't want to wash out. Chinooks were dropping loads of sand on it to try to put a band aid on the road and keep the water from rushing into the swamp. I wouldn't sleep well if I were on Bluff/74 tonight

I'm in the same spot. We are high and dry here. Old Perkins from Bluff down to Airline is also high and dry.

I think the hole/wash out in Alligator Bayou Road would affect everything from Bluff/74 all the way to 73/74

He's not talking bout bluff/74. He's talking bout 74/73

Because his family has lived on the Bluff since Evangeline lost her boyfriend at the oak tree.
I promise that if anyone here knows how water flows in, out, and around that area, it's DS.
Pay attention to what he says- he's getting his info from ages of living around that swamp.

How is Fountain Hill subdivision holding up? (Between Bluff and I-10 near Alligator Bayou Rd.)
Posted on 8/15/16 at 8:41 pm to Schmelly
My parents decided not to play around and put some sandbags around their house, front portion of oak alley.

Our friends are sandbagging Oak Alley. Are y'all?

No doubt about it. DS is a good dude from OB. He also said "for tonight"
