Text from my aunt 2 hours ago. They are sand bagging now, looking for visqueen. Water has been at a steady rise.

Brother lives in Oaks on the Bluff near C. Braud. Does he risk not being able to get home if he leaves to assist with clean up efforts in Denham? I know that a lot of unknowns hinge on AB road, but additional input would be appreciated. Stay safe.

Road down 74 to bluff, then back up C Braud this morning. Water is still coming over 74 but I noticed quite a few cars still driving through it so its not totally impassable yet. The water level in the Lakes of Dutchtown retention ponds seemed to have risen since yesterday, but all the houses along 74 look good so far.

Of course the low side of Bluff road is holding a lot of water and I noticed the houses on the back of Easy Street had quite a bit of water around them. So Bluff to C Braud road looked good, but I'm sure the areas above that are getting worse. Just my observations.

Hopefully there are good bagging crews at the schools again today. It's still rising in bluff swamp and threatening houses along bluff and the front of ridge. There will be many more sandbags put out today.

Several houses at the back of ridge still hanging tough and winning.

We had a good bit of people bagging yesterday at the high school. Hell, even Garret Graves came out to help and check on things.

I'm starting to see a little current back of Ridge. People in the back seem to think we're getting a faster rise bow. It looks like it's rose over an inch since I first checked this morning.

Looked like there were 50 people out there filling and tying bags.

Y'all saved my arse a ton of time yesterday and so far have definitely saved one house that I bagged.

We're about to get back at it again after we get some food in us. Yalls help is very much hugely appreciated.

We probably met if it was dark. I've got to go check on a building I work on in br then I'll be at Spanish lake if it's still accessible

Still accessible as of 5 minutes ago.

Thanks y'all. Filling and tying bags sucks arse but y'all are doing a lot of good. It saves several hours when you can get even half the bags you need already filled.

ETA: and on another note, y'all bastards houses are way too damn big. We did one yesterday that must have took a million bags to get 5" higher than the slab. Thought it would never end.

my aunt is on the north side of bluff rd, her property backs up to the interstate. The house is up on a hill, so I think she should be good, but can anyone confirm?

Don't know exactly where this gage is but it shows Bayou Manchac dropping at Alligator Bayou (14.89 at 7AM, was over 15' yesterday).
