I thought I read Alligator Bayou Gauge at 12.17 at 9pm and now it's 12.16 at 10pm.

That would be a slight drop.

Hmmm...

Time for bed. Been a long couple of days.

Appears to still be rising unfortunately. I'm hopeful that the sandbagging effort is successful, but like you said, it will take a lot of sandbags to do. Time to start hoping the Amite in Port Vincent drops faster.

Not sure if anyone is in bluff oaks, but my parents informed me that the sewer pump has failed due to be positioned in a low section of the neighborhood. So if bluff road closes on both ends for a few days could be an issue for them. Just a heads up.

Working nights and about to go to sleep, but water is still falling off of Babin and along the Goudine.

Do you think there is a chance the Goudine could come up on 74 where it crosses? I guess anything is possible at this point.

If it does I don't see it being enough to make 74 impassable especially by truck, but I could be wrong.

is there any chance that water makes it near the swamp road area? or is that too far?

Swamp Road is on the other side of I-10.

I don't see that happening, at least not from the Alligator Swamp discussion.

I saw in the main flood thread that the road is giving out.
Is that true?
