It’s the only way they can open with a 25% occupancy. Many simply will not be able to operate under that restriction, and will have to pay more to staff because the staff members are making more on unemployment.
You can get takeout. But if you want a table, it’s ___ per person. This does not include tax, tip, etc.
And I think a lot of people will just live with that until they are able to fully reopen.

Will make going out to eat a nicer experience

A lot of restaurants in Italy do that. Tips are not expected. Of course, their wait staff probably makes above min wage too

Then the waiters will bitch when the tips are shitty

I posted in another thread that places like Wrong Iron need to auction off seats for a while and donate to a service industry fund or something like that.

Or just go by reservation only and require a reservation fee that only goes thru if you no show the meal
Already tons of high end places that do this.

Why would we want only 25% occupancy? Please don't tell me you still think this meme virus is a real threat.

Because our inbred retard of a gov. said so.

You’re missing my point. The issue isn’t filling the 25% of tables.
Many restaurants will just not be able to operate at 25% occupancy, especially because they may have to pay non-tip workers far more because they are making more staying on unemployment.
This is an extra amount of money for the privilege of eating at a table to give them the extra money needed to operate at that occupancy.

What. It isn’t what I want.
On May 16th restaurants will be able to operate at 25% occupancy. Per the governor. If everything holds up

If it holds up.
I was praying for phase one May 1s
Phase2 May 15th
Phase 3 June 1
Could be more than two or three weeks in between each phase.
We could be July 15 for phase three

Then don’t open. Or charge more. Or charge less. The point is at least they have a choice now. They would rather that than being forced to stay closed.

That’s cute you think this won’t be extended again.

Meanwhile there are 500 people wandering around Lowe’s, Home Depot, Target and WalMarks, but let’s not let more than 20 people into Ruffinos.
I loathe that choad and the idiots that gave him 4 more years to ruin what he didn’t manage in his first 4

Or you can choose not to pay the cover.
