They're not yard work shoes. You should have got trail shoes not running shoes.

I’m a sucker and overpaid for these…frickers fell apart in 2 months. Mulch and rocks get stuck in soles…

I incorrectly assumed the Swiss made quality shite?

Those shoes are stupid(look like running shoes but aren't), ugly, and cheaply made. I'm glad people are wasting their money on them.

I see these on SEC dads 10-1 for every time I see a girl wearing them

They're a really bad shoe. I've had several pair and they both fell apart much quicker than I expected. They were super rigid and stiff and even though I wore them for about 2 months straight it never felt like they would break in.

Overpriced for what you get, but its what's hot right now if you're a suburban dad.

The thing I’ve heard about them is they are really comfortable for a short time then fall apart fairly quickly, so your post makes sense.

I mean, they're not even really running shoes either

"Get Hokas, Brooks, etc."

Nobody I know actually runs in On Clouds, they're for going to your kid's game or running out get coffee without socks when you don't want your ugly orange Hokas on and you think you're too good for flip flops

They aren't durable nor good value, they're just comfortable and easy and for whatever reason have been deemed acceptable Saturday morning wear for upper middle class dads in the SE/Texas.

Guys shouldn't be wearing sandals unless they're at a beach or a body of water.

I'd love to see a sales report of On Clouds and Hey Dudes in South Louisiana. Every middle class white person seems to have one or the other or both. It's crazy.

Visiting relatives in Dallas, like 50% of the college aged guys and below were wearing them

I've never seen them in the wild where I live

First pair I got, fell apart in a couple months. Randomly saw a backpacker worker at my store and mentioned the craze but found out that they sucked. He said I must have just gotten a defective pair and told me to bring mine in and they’d replace them (I did originally buy them from there). Second pair held up a little longer but still overall unimpressed. Now I’m an advocate against them if you want a good all day comfortable shoes - which is why I originally went for them.

Edit: to not just be a problem person but a solution person. HOKAS are good for running / walking.. for mainly standing around all day with some walking: Nike Pegasus

They look good but Brooks are a much better shoe for cheaper.

I'm on my 3rd pair. My two older pairs I use as yard work shoes. They are STILL in great shape. Soles still attached, no holes or tears in the fabric. And I wear them daily and run 3 miles every other day.

I've been impressed with their quality.

Man I was expecting replies like yours to be the whole thread. I was bought a pair as a gift. I have had two pair of tennis shoes in the last 5 years as I usually wear work boots every day. The pair I have is by far the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn. It almost makes me feel athletic again
