He doesn’t race in prototypes. World Athletics requires the shoes used in competition to be available to the general public.

Their website literally is on-running.com and when you click on Men it says Mens Running Shoes.
They are absolutely running shoes and all the running stores were the first to start selling them. That being said shoes are an individual thing. All I wear is On Cloud and I don’t like Brooks at all but they’re good shoes too.
