What's the average sentence for someone that murders their girlfriend like this? I have no idea? People keep saying life but is that really the case?
Seems like evidence is pretty much insurmountably against the guy and he is fricked as far as making a deal.
I'd assume the defense will get a psych eval and play that card.
I mean my point is that I could see him pleading to something like 25 years and getting out at 20? But I have no freaking idea.

FWIW I've read that inmates generally consider jails worse than prison. Less security, little recreation, few programs and an unpredictable daily routine. Most inmate suicides occur in jails. The suicide rate in prisons is only a couple of points higher than the national average.

Has it been confirmed she was shot 8 times?

I'm doing whatever I can do make sure he stays in Lafayette County Detention Center as long as possible.
Exactly, try to get as much evidence thrown out as possible, challenge every motion from the prosecution, every ruling by the judge, try to get a mistrial.
After the verdict, appeal, appeal, and appeal everything. Get the kid a medical diagnosis that he need to remain in county jail during the appeall process...

Where did the murder occur? Was it at the lake? Have they found the crime scene yet?

Eh, posting "couple" pictures is nothing. That looks like a gameday picture (the sticker gives it away). To take a picture like that on gameday is nothing. Girls take a million of those every Saturday with a bunch of different guys that they're either hooking up with, previously hooked up with, or friend-zoned.
Think about it, they're hooking up, he's going to give her the pictures she wants to keep getting laid. It's a small price to pay for him.
I think her being a side piece played into his decision. My personal opinion is that he's likely an arse (as evidenced by the comment from her friend about him harrassing her) but she still kept hooking up with him. He didn't want anything to do with her outside of hooking up, so when she got pregnant, he immediately thought "oh frick, I just wanted to use her, now I have to support her kid" and his inner psycho kicked in and that's where we are now.
Although, seeing as she is allegedly 17-18 weeks pregnant, I'd like to know what she did this past week that pushed him over the edge. He's probably known about her pregnancy for a couple of months now, so I would doubt this was a knee-jerk reaction to the news.
I was more referring to the original stuff about her being a side piece to his long term girlfriend. You damn sure aren't letting her post pictures of you together on social media if that were the case

I don't think that is the case... have you read about the conditions in Mississippi prisons?

Yeah I think it’s come out that she was an on again off again fling, but never really a serious consistent girlfriend.

Tell your buddy Dan the cop killer to give him a call and help him “Get Hard” lmao, half joking

Jails and prisons are different every where. Sweeping statements about either don’t work.
I’m not sure there is much out there, in the US, that is worse than Parchman.

Dudes about to get hit with a double first degree murder charge. Yea, that's a life sentence and the only reason he wont get the death penalty is if he makes a plea deal

Maybe as a general rule. Lafayette County Detention Center is like going to a country club spa compared to Parchman

Totally off topic... I remember a movie with Edward Norton about his charactor going to jail/prison directed by Spike Lee (I think). I remember thinking the last day before losing your freedom and going to prison must suck...
