When I had kids that age, the couple of times I had to handle both at the same time, I'd pull up to a grocery cart already in the lot for that purpose...so I could put the little one in the front part.

And, when I couldn't, I always felt a little vulnerable wiht the kids from a safety standpoint. I simply can't blame a mother for choosing not to do that. Safety of the children is parmount.
Some of you are making something that is super easy sound like it's the most difficult task in the world.

We've never once even had a parking lot scare with twins in a parking lot, and we've also placed the cart in the corral 100% of the time. Apparently, this is some amazing feat we were able to pull it off.

So you or your wife literally never once had to walk from the parking into the store with your kid? Never? I find that hard to believe.

Does this theory pertain to soiled children diapers, discarded in store parking lots, as well?

what about if it’s 100 degrees outside and you live in Baton Rouge - do you go start the car to put the a/c on so your kids are comfortable and risk having your car stolen with the kids in it?? Or just leave the basket where you are?

You see me, I’m so GD modest I’ll flip their cart after checkout, me. Just to bring the cart back to its spot. I don’t even let it go outside I’m so GD smart, me.

Yes, an extra minute of making them wait for the car to cool down is definitely child abuse.

well a man left his car running in BR at a gas station and some crackhead stole the car with the dog in it. The dog died. Who is to say that a crackhead wouldn’t do that with kids in the car?

Since you have like eight kids I’ll give you a pass for not returning the cart

It's hard to imagine you ever leave your house with all the dangers out there. When you worry you can't leave your car running for 1 minute

I’m not afraid of anything - I was typing up a very real scenario that can happen that is a lot worse than leaving a basket out
