“Older” Mustang hits 150 MPH, makes cops quit

That's nothing... I saw a video of a police chase on Youtube where a Dodge Challenger Hellcat outran the police AND the police helicopter.

ETA I’m 3 minutes in and you can see how fast this car really is, and how fast it can accelerate while already at highway speed when compared to the regular traffic.

i know this will sound ridiculous.... but given the circumstances, they were incredibly safe and courteous to other drivers during that chase.

When I was a kid my grandmother bought my older brother a 69 Fastback for his 16th birthday. It had a 351 Winsor and was in mint condition. This was the early 80s so they were not crazy expensive yet.
The car lasted about a year. It was crazy fast. I remember the night of a Ratt concert (I was 14) about five of us piled in it to go. I ended up driving home because I was the only one remotely sober enough to drive. My dumb arse had that ring going somewhere over 120 MPH on I-59 north. It’s a miracle we didn’t all end up a greasy spots on the interstate. We ragged that poor car out. The tranny failed after a few months and he ended up selling it to some dude. I can still remember the tow truck pulling it away the day they came and got it. No telling what it could be worth now.
