A spoon in an open champagne bottle overnight in the refrigerator, maintains the effervescence of the liquid (dangle handle inside bottle).

If you ever get jalapeños in your eye from maybe rubbing your hands in eyes or whatever, pour milk on hands and then lather hands together and then rub your eyes. Will take the burn away immediately.

They say horse apples will keep fleas out of your house.
Not true, I tried when I was young and didn't have money to buy my dog flea medicine.

If you want to keep flies out of the kitchen just keep a bucket of cow shite in the living room.

This coming from the guy that tried the cinnamon challenge, then proceeded to puke and fart uncontrollably.

I tried the Vicks on on the feet thing one time. When I was in my early 20's I caught a bad cold. A friend of mine from rural east Texas (who happened to be black) gave me a remedy that his grandmother used. Warm equal parts honey, lemon juice and whiskey in a pan. When it's almost too hot to drink pour it in a mug. Then go into the bathroom and draw a shallow bath of water as hot as you can stand. Sit on the edge of the tub and sip the whiskey concoction while soaking your feet in the tub. When you're done, rub Vapo-rub on the bottom of your feet then put on socks and go to bed. The next morning I felt a lot better but it was probably because I got a good night's sleep, thanks to the bourbon.

Please tell me this was recorded. If so, could you post the link?

Hot toddy's work very well
Yep, my go to remedy when my cold is severe. My recipe is a little different as I don't use tea.
I use 1 cup hot water, 2 oz bourbon, honey and lemon to taste, and a cinnamon stick.

I don't know if it qualifies as as Old Wives Tales, but after a crawfish boil, someone recommended rubbing my hands on the stainless steel partition in between the sinks. I did that and the crawfish smell went away. Tried it several times after and it's 50/50 that it'll work. It's weird, I haven't figured out the rhyme or reason but it has worked before.
You've never come across a Cajun Bar of Soap before?
