re: Old wives’ tales have you heard of and tried?

My old paw paw used to blow a puff of cigarette smoke in our ears when we had an ear infection. According to my mom it worked. The smoke apparently would break up fluid.

I wanted to try it on my son a few years ago but my wife told me to frick myself....so I didn’t get to witness the miracle unfortunately. Plus I was drinking whiskey at the time and maybe didn’t list all the health benefits, but whatever.

The little sliver of aluminum? I've seen them after I learned the sink trick. Obviously, the same principle but I still don't know how it works.
