I see the play but how do they know the hedge funds are short? Or short this particular stock? I’m sure it shows in their portfolio but just normally not something that is really broadcast correct?

Poor people started making money. Non-poors didn’t like it and made it to where poor people must be stopped.
It's exactly like the end of the movie, Trading Places. Only Randolph and Mortimer managed to get the exchange to stop trading, because that's what Robinhood did. They halted trading.
Just like Billy Ray and Winthorp, the reddit investors made a bunch of money while making these big funds lose! It's kind of a beauty to behold.

You see, you're operating under the assumption of "forgive and forget". shite doesn't work like that any longer. We spent the past 4+ years watching half of our elected government actively work, in lockstep with the media, to undermine a sitting US President. Literally nothing was off limits with those people. They had no desire to do what was best and right for our country if it stood a piss ant's chance of making the sitting President look good. One half of our elected government actively worked to destroy this country. Period. You don't come back from that. So, you can take your sunshine and rainbows, along with your "unity" and shove them up AOC's arse.
