Old POS car that runs - what to do with it?

I have "inherited" a fifteen year old Volvo that went through multiple family members kids as a first car. Literally every piece of sheet metal on this car has been damaged to some extent and the interior is awful.
It can't get an inspection sticker / brake tag because the driver's side rear door handle doesn't work, the front passengers window won't roll down, one headlight is busted out and the Check Engine light is on. But the damn car runs GREAT and the AC blows cold.
What is to be done with something like that? The old "donate to charity" thing is gone since they closed the tax loophole. Is it a good idea to sell a car (for $500 or something) that can't pass an inspection? I hate to light it on fire and roll it into a canal given that it runs so well.
What says the OT? Any creative ideas?

Donate it to your local fire department for rescue drill practice

Go buy a new headlight.
I’m pretty sure the other stuff can be overlooked during an inspection.

Call one of those salvage yard places. They'll pick it up and give you $100 or so. Alternatively, put an ad on Craigslist and deal with riff raff to score an extra hundy.

There's only one thing you can do:
Demolition Derby, baw!

Can’t donate it to Bridgehouse?
I don’t think a broken door handle will stop you from a brake tag

I'll take it
I run a mission where we fix up old cars and donate them to the less fortunate that just need a little help getting on their feet :)

We sold a very old 944 for 500.00. The guy that bought it works on cars and fixed things on it.

If it has the Cat converter, battery, and alloy rims, you’ll be able to scrap it for ~$350

Seriously making me think I should fix the issues and hang onto it for a bit just in case.
