No, I haven't. My father thought me to treat women and my elders with respect. But then again, not sure how many of those people's fathers are present, so I digress.

My parents taught me the same thing. But when I was a teenager, I didn't always follow everything my parents taught me. I was taught to respect my elders and to treat women a certain way, but when HS seniors, college aged kids.. Get together, have a good time, drink, etc. there is a good chance there will be some type of situation in which someone will do something dumb.

Doing "dumb" stuff as a teenager and slamming an old lady on the ground then throwing her in the water aren't exactly to same things

I actually think social media has created an environment where some people do these things for attention.

There was a good chance my friends and I would and did do dumb things when we were in high school.

There was never any chance at all that the people I hung out with would do something like this.

If by "do[ing] something dumb" you mean slamming an old lady and her dogs into the ground and then a swimming pool...sorry, my friends nor I did anything like that growing up. Stop trying to make excuses for these pieces of shite. It's pathetic.

I'm guessing we'll get further explanation on what happened on tomorrow's Today Show or Good Morning America.

Not excusing or condoning the behavior, but it did look like he slipped at first versus slamming her down intentionally. Looked more like he was just trying to get her to the pool, not that that is any better.

Again, I said.. Maybe not to that degree, but have been in or around a situation that was intended to not be as bad as it looked.

My whole point is that it is being looked at different because they are black. They are thugs, people think that it is an example of why the country is going to shite and even threw out some shite about it being because of the democratic party, etc.

What happened is wrong and there should be some type of punishment, but I don't think they should be considered hard core criminals. I am pretty much asking if anyone has never been to a party or a gathering with a bunch of friends.. People are drinking, having a good time and something "questionable" happens. I used parties at fraternities as an example. I am not pointing them out just to point them out, but if you think about the stereotypical frat party.. You don't think there are times when things cross the line.

And I am just pointing out that people who immediately see it as a race thing have the same mindset of people who think A Sterling was unjustifiably killed by police and that race played a factor.
