Damn, all those times I've had a drink at a restaurant and drove home; thank god I never got unlucky and drove through a barricade at a crowded parade and ran over multiple people.

At dumbasses who think it's ok to drive after having a drink? Yes I am because that caused someone I knew to lose their life.

I don't recall anyone promoting drunk driving, I do recall a discussion on whether the legal consequences of low levels of alcohol in your blood stream are in tune with the risk to society.

The individual who killed three people today should be punished to the full extent of the law. That being said, ramming into a crowd of people isn't something that people are likely to do on 2-3 beers, there's either a lot more alcohol involved or some other influence.

one beer and a twelve pack are the same based on a law is quite possible. and youre ok with that?

IF YOU'RE LEGALLY DRUNK, YES!

A 16 year old drinking one beer can put them in the legally drunk category.

A 40 year old, 300 lb man can drink a 12 pack and be under the limit.

The amount doesn't matter.

Once you're over the legal BAC level, you're done. You're a piece of shite if you drive drunk and should go to jail.

"Drunk" Driving isn't a big deal for most people. I have driven home many times after a few drinks and never came close to running red lights/speeding/what have you...much less kill/injure people

This person obviously has a severe drinking problem if they are wasted enough to kill people...especially this early in the morning.

sorry not sorry

You should be forced to lose weight, because heart condition clearly means you weigh 400 pounds in this scenario

It seems perfectly fine for someone who works in the oil field, mining, or construction to crack a cold one for the ride home.

Now if you work in an office and are drinking on the ride home from work we got a name for that.

My buddy used to drink a pint of vodka on his daily 1 hr commute from Scottsdale to Chandler when he was in commercial real estate. Luckily he ended up in rehab before killing anyone.

Questions like this really make me wonder why we all spend so much time interacting with the bottom 10% on message boards.

No but you should be arrested for open container and drinking and driving.

We should probably enact alcohol free zones. That would stop them.

Since enacting a multitude of safety laws for cars and tougher drunk driving laws, deaths from car accidents and drunk driving accidents have plummeted.

So smart stuff, you just explained exactly why we should create laws in regards to gun safety/gun deaths.
