I mean, how hard and expensive is it to carry pepper spray, electric piece or even a goddamned piece of bamboo?!
Its not but do you expect a keeper to jump in there with a tazer and risk his life for some guy that is in the enclosure?

And why doesn't a second keeper ever show up in the cases.
You mean cages or cases like you are doing a study on people falling into tiger enclosures?
You cant have keepers at every enclosure 24/7 that has a dangerous animal in it during zoo hours. Its not feasible.

The guy in the tiger cage is a burglar? What's he stealing?

You sure seem to be having some trouble with it.

Charlie really likes his friends
But in his heart he knows that sometimes a dog is as good as any man

I guess if I was as dim-witted as the lot of you choosing animal's lives over humans, I also wouldn't have a problem getting rid of one of my own.

Do you think the zoo felt this way?

This assertion that animals are not capable of reason is absurd. To varying extents, yes, they are. It has been tested. They are also capable of emotions believe it or not. You think that cognitive ability just spontaneously appeared in humans? We're the first species on the planet with a brain and capable of learning? Shoot, even relatively stupid animals can learn.
I mean I have a fairly anthropocentric view of the world, but come on, man. Let's be real.

It's our larger and more developed frontal lobes which allow us to reason. Doesn't mean everyone uses them.
Why should an innocent animal be punished for reacting as it is supposed to when a stupid human fails to make proper use of his reasoning faculties? It's not the tiger's fault the guy is a dumbass.

ok you want to play instead of answering the question I will play along...
A guy trespasses into your yard/house and your dog attacks...will you shoot your dog?

how bout don't fall/jump into the Tiger's den? DAMNIT!!!
this is suicide by Tiger or suicide by stupidity, but why kill the tiger for doing what tigers do? Shoulda killed the dumb dick thats in his cage. Not like he did anything to help his situation- flailing around.

Ok, so I have not gotten a clear statement about how the guy ended up in the pen, but one thing said he fell in.
As in, by accident. How does that make him stupid and/or bad? Had a baby fell in, would you also want the tiger to eat it?

If he jumped in, by all means, let nature take its course. But the guy's actions appear to me as if he fell in, and wants out very badly. So you save the guy. Period.
Posted on 4/19/16 at 10:54 am to AU_251
He fell in while standing on top of the barrier and throwing rocks at the tiger. Looks like karma bit him in the arse with a quickness.
Posted on 4/19/16 at 10:54 am to Topwater Trout
If the guy means me harm, by all means dog, have at him.
This is in no way similar to this situation which makes it a stupid analogy, hence the "playful" response.

Are you really asking how he is stupid for falling into a tiger enclosure?
