Only if you actually said to him what you wrote here. I have my doubts you said blacks wanting change in how they are treated by LEO is pointless to a black man. It's a dumb thing to say. Even whites who have been victims to police brutality would say it's a dumb thing to say. Because at the heart of this, you're right, it isn't about race singularly. It's about a corrupt system who investigate their own and hide behind "policy" when shite clearly goes wrong. No accountability.
And if a black man agreed with you that its pointless to try anymore, well, he's not only a dumb black man. He's a dumb man period. Police corruption is real. Maybe that's the thread I start ans we'll see where it takes us.

George Floyd, a convicted violent felon, spent five years in prison for armed robbery/home invasion. That was at least his third felony.
A guy I was friends with in high school, who had no prior criminal history outside of speeding tickets and a single PI charge, got 75 years for the same exact charge. My friend was a white guy.
Floyd had the benefit of committing his crime in a high crime area where overworked DAs and judges sacrificed justice for expediency to lighten their load. If there was justice, Floyd would still be safe and sound and alive in prison today.

Progs always think they know more about black people than black people.
Police corruption is real, but there hasnt been found a police bias regarding race. The entire thread is about just that.

Now Sao, I can deal with that response. Thank you. I did tell him what I posted here, I swaer to that. And he actually agreed with me. He appeared to be a conservative dude, but I didn't know that at first. I do realize that this is probably rare, but I didn't "veil" myself either, because when I started this converstion I didn't know the man at all. Sao, I really try to make it a point to only say here what I would say in front of you, personally. I may not always succeed, but I try to be respectful.

That’s not true. Just look at drug crime and research on drug use by race and you’ll see this. Whites and blacks use drugs at the same rates. Higher rates of blacks are arrested on drug charges and they get steeper sentences.

Why do you think that is?
Do you think it’s because a higher percentage of black people are out trying to sell it/and or ride around with it? Or do you think cops just don’t arrest white people that have drugs? Because cops DEFINITELY arrest white people that have drugs. The well off people are just smart enough to not get caught. And that’s not a race thing....people that don’t do dumb shite don’t get caught.
