pour a circle of flour around your truck at night and inspect it in the morning to see if he left or not.
Except you find a mark and then rather than it being your snake leaving it's his snake baby momma coming to annoy the shite out of him in the truck.
Pretty obvious by this point the snake murdered OP anyway

Do we not get an update?
Well, I'm alive, and I have to assume the GDCK is too. I went to a car wash with a pressure washer, shot it into every hole in the frame I could find. Came home and did another full inspection, never saw him again. Drove a total of about 20 miles watching the rear view.
I was hoping to update with photos, so I'm sorry for letting you guys down. This snake is going to be confused as hell though when he gets down as he is about 10 miles from where I picked him up.

Go to a feed and seed and buy a bottle of concentrated Malathion. Mix in a sprayer and spray every square inch of the under carriage. WARNING - it will kill most anything. Now the trick is getting the damn thing to die outside of your truck. Hot summer days and a dead snake won't smell to good.

I once witnessed my dad use a BBQ grill and hoses to smoke a snake out of some machinery he had in the rafters of his shop.
So, maybe try that?

I was chasing a speckled king snake in my yard this afternoon. Saw him go in a shrub 4 ft in front of me and could not find him. Good luck getting him out your truck.

I know a guy who had a pet snake get loose in his car years ago. He ended up having to take it to the dealership because the fricker was so deep in there. But he got loose inside the car and went up under the dash and got into the AC system. I think it cost a cpl grand to get the snake out.
Might trying running your truck for awhile in a closed in carport and hope the CO2 kills it or it gets so hot the snake leaves. Just make sure you don't kill yourself sitting in garage watching with car running.

From Wildlife & Fisheries:
How do I remove a snake that is in my house or car?
Snakes are experts at hiding themselves, and once inside of a home can be nearly impossible to locate. They will tend to remain concealed during the day, or when there is activity in the house. They may leave cover only when the lights are out and human activity stops for the night. At that point, they may be discovered in the open by quickly going through the house and turning on lights. Snakes that are seen to crawl into the underside of a vehicle are usually excluded from entering the passenger compartment. Snakes can usually be driven out from the undercarriage of a vehicle by parking it in direct sunlight for several hours.
I'd have thought they'd have better ideas than that. This thread has me thinking prevention is the way to go. I'm gonna try some Snake-a-Way. Good luck.

I want to make sure I see him leave.
You dont need to...... park it on a concrete pad and sprinkle a layer of play sand all around your truck. You'll see his track from where he slithered away in the AM.

This has to be the funniest thread of all time. My sides are hurting. Good luck though.

Take it to a body shop and tell them you heard some rattling in the undercarriage.

1. Go to pet store and buy a box of mice.
2. Place box of mice under truck.
3. Set up chair and ice chest at a safe distance
4. Profit
These seem like the most logically steps to take.

How long can they go without food? Because I will be conducting daily inspections for at least that long.

He's probably gone by now, but this thread delivers. I'd say smoke it out

I just googled it and you don't want to know... Let's just say he can outlast you.
Time for big ideas and drastic measures.
