The classification is “moveable”, not motor vehicle. Anything that has wheels is considered movable, and falls under different guidelines. Utility trailers, campers, etc. At least as far as lending is concerned. I would imagine insurance follows suit, but I don’t know that to be a fact.

I work in banking and we look at axles. I always thought it was interesting that when people pay off mobile home loans that there is a title for each axle even if it's one home.
