Any confirmed action yet? This seems ridiculous. An armed felon has a bathroom, food, caffeine at this place. Kill the power, shoot out the glass, throw a flash grenade in there and raid that place.

At this point no matter what happens they will be in the wrong
They have to harm him = wrong
They wait him out & he hurts himself or the kid = wrong
They are able to resolve with no injuries except for the emotional trauma to the kid = wrong
