We noted earlier today that Taker was taken to a local hospital last night for fear of a concussion and a neck injury. We also noted that Taker losing was the original plan.
Yep... He's done

I thought if you are going to end the taker's streak have one of his nemesis do it.
Does Mankind still wrestle? Man I liked that Hell in the cell PPV in 98. Come to think of it, Mankind is probably dead by now. lol]

Late 90s was the best.

By far. the Monday night wars in full swing. Both sides trying to outdo the other.

If it wasn't for Vince Russo killing WCW, maybe the product would be better today.

Taker looked like he was just going through the motions that whole match. He wrestles once a year and needs 2 or 3 surgeries plus a year of rehab every time. Its amazing he can still walk.

huff and puff around the ring with another part timer and get pinned after 10 minutes.

Trust us, it was longer than that and it felt like it took up 50% of the PPV.

Sting can legit go. He's older than the Undertaker and he's in infinitely better shape. It doesn't matter who Sting wrestles. He can go 20 minutes. Sting/Michaels would be my pipe dream.

oh and I was up in the terrace and that four sided screen was too low and distracting to what was going on in the ring. i didn't think it was needed with the two screens on the stage and the big one on the back wall

How old is he anyways? Has to be coming up on his late 40's or early 50's right? Whether WWE is fake or real, I always did find it amazing that these grown men can withstand the shape and the beatdowns they get in the ring, for such a long period of time. May not be old, but I compare them to NFL players, who usually give it up by around 35 or younger.

I think he's right at 50 or in that neighborhood anyway. Most wrestlers don't make as much as NFL players, that's why they hang on for so long. Undertaker is one of the highest paid guys in the business and is worth millions so he doesn't need the money. I don't why he's still doing this with the shape he's in.

Exactly, some of those old matches are completely unbearable to watch.

No argument from me on this, but the cream of the crop was definitely better back in the late 80s/early 90s. The main event last night was supposed to be Orton vs Batista after the Royal Rumble. How terrible would that have been?

My favorite part was seeing all the people dressed like wrestlers and walking up and down Bourbon yelling "Wooooooooo!!"
