There was obviously an oil slick where the plane went down. Duh

Possibly.
I find it interesting that in times like these, people have an abundance of confidence in the competence of the US government. Personally, as confident as I am in our military supremacy, I also believe people try to fill in the gaps in the unknown to make themselves feel more comfortable. Also, if the US or another government knows about the whereabouts of this plane, they are doing an incredible job of preventing any leaks.
IMO, it is just as absurd to think this plane flew to Kyrgyzstan undetected as it is to think that the US or China knows where this plane is and hasn't had a single leak.

I think it was leaked yesterday that us officials believe it crashed in the Indian Ocean

That guy is a real reporter.
Hats off to him...

I think us officials tipped off Malaysian officials where the plane was.

I've seen this as well. That is my point - the US is not sitting on the location of this plane but keeping it a secret from everyone.

I'm not too sure about this Greek freighter news. It is hard to believe this plane is in the middle of a shipping channel and has taken this long to find.

I can't believe someone on Tomnod might have actually found this plane.

This plane could have been shot down for all we know?
Seriously, who the hell even knows anymore?
Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see. The silence of Malaysia and coordination of this whole thing just seems like misdirection.

As for motive the London Mail is reporting and again I may be late for the party:

According to Mail Online, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was a “fanatical” and “obsessive” supporter of Malaysia’s opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, who was imprisoned for homosexuality hours before flight MH370 vanished. Shah was reportedly at the trial where Ibrahim was sentenced for five years. Police sources added to the Mail Online that the pilot was a vocal political activist.
Further, the Mail Online reported that Shah’s wife and three kids moved out of their home just one day before the Malaysia Airlines plane went missing.

If that is the wreckage that plane didn't fly for 7 hours

US is just leaking stuff out now in order to protect its intel gathering capabilities. There was no hurry to tell everyone where it was at because it was in the ocean. As we said earlier, they might just use this opportunity to find out other countries capabilities? Who knows?

I hope that is the case because the black boxes should have all the data

This wreckage is no where close to the arc of the last known ping. I am pretty skeptical, but it would be nice for this to be over.

Agree, everything Malaysia has put out has been a lie.
