Official poll: My tires are inflated, but the low pressure light is on anyway.

I swear every vehicle we have had...many of my friends' vehicles too...damn light seems to always be on...

It just takes 1psi below the alert level to signal the computer. Check the manual and go get some air in your tires bruh.

Same thing, makes me think something is wrong. I've been checking my tire levels every time i get in the car for weeks now, but nothing ever changes

I have the same issue in my 2015 Tacoma, do you have a spare tire? They have sensors in the spares as well sometimes. It corrected mine for a day then came back on haven't checked the spare tire again,but the air in the rest of my tires is adequate.

Could be the TPMS sensor on your wheels. I'd check for cracks in them.

An alpha can tell if a tire is one psi off the recommended pressure by eyeballing it.

TPMS sensors in the wheel can go bad and most of them have a small battery that cannot be replaced. Sometimes after a rotation or if the car battery has gone dead the body control module is unable to find one or more sensors. Some vehicles have a learn mode you can use by raising or lowering the pressure in each tire to relearn. If that doesn't work most tire stores have a tool to check sensors. If you have to buy one they can run from $20 up to $60, depending on you vehicle.
