How you got that from this situation is beyond me.
I've bashed cops/policy in a number of cases but this isn't one because all the evidence that has held up supports the officers story. Black, white it doesn't matter.

His career as a police officer is over. Nobody will hire him given the publicity he would bring. He will make bank however being a speaker, author, and with whatever other endeavors he chooses to pursue.

I would too. I'd fear to try and protect anyone knowing it could be a setup to get me or any issue that arises, your face is so recognizable that people will just cry racist.

If I were him, I'd just take the cash that ABC gave him for that interview and figure out a way to start a new career working from home. Farming, comp programming, something that has as minimal public exposure for about a decade. By then something new will have happened and the race pimps would have made three or four other people the centers of different "scandals", then he may be able to come out of hiding and live a somewhat normal and low key life.
