Do we know if officer was targetted yet? Very sad.

I read that the officer responded to a "shots fired" domestic disturbance call. This report said he was shot at from 3 or 4 angles by multiple people. So, IF this turns out to be true, I'd say yes, he was targeted. These first reports are always sketchy though.
The officer that was shot in St. Louis (Ballwin, a west county suburb) the day after Dallas will never walk again. The bullet severed his spine, and he is paralyzed and at this point can't even speak.
This has to stop. It just has to.

But black people don't need to change, just white people. All cops are white, btw.
And don't blame this in BLM. These shooters had nothing to do with the movement. Also, don't try to bring up black-on-black crime. All statistical data shows such a thing does not exist.
This is why a decent conversation cannot be had with most BLM supporters.
It's an aimless movement driven by nebulous anger instead of deliberate goals, and does not brook disagreement of even the most benign sort.
Tough to begin a discussion when one realizes you're at an impasse from the get go.

Sending prayers this officer's way, hope he can pull through.
That being said, are we gonna start a post every time an officer is shot at? Do y'all realize how frequently that happens?
FU or yes... take your pick.

A good man you are. I know you're black and see through the foolishnish. Wish there were more like you! Cheers!

There are. I have a LOT of siblings and we pretty much all share the same worldview
But there are starting to be more black people in general who don't condone this nonsense. Not as many and not as vocal as there should be, but I aim to help change that.
This ain't the 60's. We don't need the "stick together or else we're doomed" mindset. More independent and cynical thought will ameliorate this trend of our particular demographic being manipulated so easily on the political and social platforms.

It's not just your demographic being manipulated I think. It feels like some power doesn't want reconciliation, when all most of us want is to live in peace in communities where no one feels targeted for their color, religion, or anything else.

I'm black, but I am definitely not an African American. I can actually trace European heratige to my great grandfather being first generation here from Ireland. Everyone else in my family from as far back as I know was born here so I'm not some hyphenated American.

I think you're a little off on this one. In general Black people have been peaceful through countless examples of mistreatment by the hands of BAD cops. lets not lump protest in the same category as murdering cops.
Didnt mean to derail the subject of the thread
