Actually a great idea. Although people will still try to drive with a boot on their car.

Sure. And she was justified in pulling her firearm to cover the suspect in case he does produce a weapon but that’s not what happened.

This is nothing more than an officer that had a lack of familiarity with her equipment which is due to lack of training. As far as I know, there is no standardized training requirements where officers are put in high stress situations and work on their equipment familiarity to where it is on their tool belt. That’s something that a good officer works on during his or her own time and gets better with experience.

This is a very unfortunate accident and sadly many people will suffer because of it.

involuntary manslaughter

That's what probably will happen.
However, the warrant for an illegal firearm and the dude jumping back in the vehicle might help her cause.

If you fight and officer physically, and enter your vehicle, yes you allow yourself the opportunity to be justifiably killed

The cops have a warrant relating to firearms that they know about, and they have a man physically fighting them getting into his car I think they have every right to fear for their life and execute him. Her screaming taser is the only thing that makes this case interesting

It shows she didn’t fear for her life and only wanted to subdue him i.e. she fricked up

No but he would most likely have been gunned down in the streets with the way his life was headed

Just watched it. There was no "fighting" or "wrestling", dude literally squirmed free, hopping in his car, and put up his arm to keep the grabbing officer off of him before being fatally shot.

Why do you insist on twisting shite we can see with our own eyes?

Cops can pull tasers when they fear for their life. It's happened many times.

So a man was physically fighting officers and entering his vehicle

That absolutely is a great recipe for a justifiable shoot

If she never said “taser taser”, this is textbook

We aren’t talking about the people’s elbow or gates of Jericho here.

Now you’re just playing semantics to try and obfuscate actions.

Unreal.

I'm guessing the stereotypical psychopath southern sheriff is a real thing and you guys like it that way.

And remember, as we learned in Atlanta, it’s a deadly weapon until it isn’t.

Yeah, complete idiot, but still not a death sentence.

Did you hear the cop at the end? She couldn't believe she shot him. She knew she fricked up.

The liberal way when it comes to these things. It's never the resisting piece of shite's fault. Always whitey.

I see a man jump into a car and continue to fight police

I truly have no clue if his plan was to run or grab a gun and shoot the frick out of the cops

I mean from the full video it looked clear that his goal was to get inside the car and drive away. However, that comes with hindsight. In the heat of the moment, I agree it can definitely be hard to tell for the cops to try and tell the difference.
