I see a man jump into a car and continue to fight police

I truly have no clue if his plan was to run or grab a gun and shoot the frick out of the cops

Unless he was going for it, or you can prove the responding officers saw that gun and had reason to fear for their lives, it doesn't matter. Her shouting taser taser taser makes her non lethal intent clear. Non lethal intent implying she did not fear for her life, and this is a case of gross negligence.

There's literal footage of Kyle Rittenhouse doing nothing other than defending himself too.

Murder 1 charge incoming, count on it

I have a feeling that's why we're hearing about the confusion between the taser and the gun. Quickly drops murder down to involuntary manslaughter.

If some goober is passed out in his car piss drunk, and you have his ID and vehicle, it might not be worth the wrestling match to apprehend him as we saw in that Atlanta incident

Maybe put a boot on the guys car so he can't drive it without the police coming to unlock it.

Nothing.

Just seems tricky here

I’ve honestly barely read about THIS case. I tend not to race into these stories immediately.

More of a general statement that sometimes our eagerness to punish does come at great expense. There’s some balancing act there and I’m not going to say we have it perfect. Not a disaster either though.

Please tell me how the cop would know the man with a warrant for weapons charges didnt have a weapon in his car that he was jumping into

he wasn’t reaching for anything, he got in his vehicle in a clear attempt to flee. perfect situation for a taser. that’s why you hire officers who can distinguish a taser from a glock that weighs 3 times more.

You know what I find ironic?

If this kid would have been immediately restrained in the prone position he would be alive today. The fact that the black officer tried to treat him with kid gloves and tried to politely tell him not to pull away gave him the opportunity to fight.

Cop in oakland was charged with involuntary manslaughter in a similar incident as well

quote:

BART Police officers detained Grant and several other passengers on the platform at the Fruitvale BART Station. BART officer Anthony Pirone kneed Grant in the head and forced the unarmed Grant to lie face down on the platform. While Pirone held Grant down in a prone position, Mehserle drew his pistol and shot Grant in the back. Grant was rushed to Highland Hospital in Oakland and pronounced dead later that day.

quote:

On January 30, 2010, Alameda County prosecutors charged Officer Mehserle with second-degree murder in their indictment for the shooting. Mehserle resigned from his position and pleaded not guilty. The trial began on June 10, 2010. On July 8, 2010, Mehserle was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and not guilty of the murder charge and voluntary manslaughter.

Are yall just purposefully ignoring that he was wrestling with an officer while "trying to only flee an nothing more?"

I agree she is a fricking idiot. Maybe people will start listening to republicans saying women shouldn’t be in these roles eh? I kid I kid

Ultimately, I just put the blame on the criminal running from the cops. If she gets a manslaughter charge in a fair trial it wouldn’t make me lose sleep

But people rioting, looting, and “feeling traumatized” for this guy is a joke

im sorry, an unregistered firearm. It changes nothing about my thought process here

The cops have a warrant relating to firearms that they know about, and they have a man physically fighting them getting into his car

I think they have every right to fear for their life and execute him. Her screaming taser is the only thing that makes this case interesting

the only information released so far regarding the warrant was that it was a misdemeanor, so idk why you’re pulling shite out of your arse.

clearly this kid deserved to die over a misdemeanor warrant right?
