Officer Cleared in Fatal Carl’s Jr. Bathroom Shooting (video)

This is pretty fricked up all around. On one hand this guy posed zero threat to anyone by jaywalking. On the other all he had to do was talk to the officer and he might have got a citation. Might.
I’m not sure how the officer was cleared though.

Used to live up in Medford (near eagle point). Place is crawling with meth addicts and transients.
Plus they hate the cops. Not surprised this happened.

That’s when the three reportedly went to the ground and two shots were fired by one of the officers, who said he thought Graves had a gun.

Yea I know but I didn't see anything in the link that said if he did actually have a gun or not.

I lied, I googled. It was the taser of the other officer that Graves grabbed.

He didn't have a gun. What the officers thought was a gun was actually one of their own tasers. The guy was a "former" druggie who was diagnosed with schizophrenia while he was in jail. Parents said he was clean at the time, but also wasn't taking his prescribed medication for schizophrenia.
