You know that feeling where you’ve been staring at a computer screen all day and your head starts to feel funny by the end of the day? What’s the best way to clear your mind and unwind from that? Hate that shite, but I need a short break, got more work to do tonight as well.

I dont spend most of my time on computer...computer is my gateway to data, but most of my time is spent reviewing drawings.

I take a longer lunch break
Put on an interesting podcast
And walk around the lake

Seriously, music is always a good way to clear my mind. Or listening to sports talk radio... Or anything that you enjoy doing, find away to engage in it in some form.

Do you feel like a completely different person when you get off?

It's tough when you have been doing something all day and then have to continue to work on it later that day. Sometimes if you just take a 30-45 minute rest it will make you feel better. Go outside, don't bring your phone.. Get away from the computer, tv, etc..

Build a nice fire pit in your backyard. Every once in a while, spend the whole evening outside from when you get home until you go to bed. Try to not look at a single screen until the next day.

I generally have to get up and do something physical...if I can't go out and work in the yard or something like that, I have a treadmill in one bedroom that I can walk on for a bit. If I can't leave the office (and I am there alone), I may do some push ups or squats, etc. just to get the blood flowing.

Also, believe it or not, if I sign on to this site and read some of the shite posted here for a while, that usually clears my head some.
