Office donuts spinoff

What special kind of a-hole tears a donut in half to eat and leaves the other half in the box?
Do you know anyone that does this? Don’t they realize how impolite this is? Did they touch it with their hands? Would you eat a torn donut?
Maybe you are a donut tearer? If so,

To me it’s on the level of double dipping.

It’s a common occurrence to see a donut cut in half at the office. It’s usually a clean cut so I’m guessing the knife it.
I always assume it’s a fatty that has a step counter that somehow justified eating half a donut based on the amount of steps they walked from the parking lot to their cube and assumed that was actual exercise.

I always cut and eat the top halves when someone brings donuts to work. Especially if they're decorated or have sprinkles etc.

Normally I completely agree, but there's one donut place in town that makes them the size of pancakes and does all sorts of toppings.. so for those cutting into halves or quarters is acceptable.

I did it the other day at my office. I own the office and bought the doughnuts for my team so I do what I want and they take it.
