yes, you have to have key card access that opens the freight elevator. I would have had to return to my truck and drive to the freaking loading dock. I would have had to get approval and wait for someone not on site. TO TAKE TWO STUPID RUBBERMAID BINS filled with empty boxes 20 feet across a lobby.

It's funny how that works. I changed jobs during COVID. My last job went back to the office and TRAVEL in May 2020. We were remote from about March 11 to May 1.
This company was locked down and is still locked down. None of our retail customers are working from offices regularly, if at all. Frankly, I don't want to go to the office. It will add a minimum of 1 hour travel to my day, and I don't miss any office bullshiat.

I wonder if they even have a cleaning crew? I did notice they still have urinals and sinks signed "do not use" for social distancing, so I used the blocked off ones today out of spite.

I specifically wasn’t a dick. I’m ranting here. All I did there was carry the cart to avoid an unknown wait time to do something that took 30 seconds. She could have ignored me. Nobody works in the building. Who gives a shite if one day some guy rolls a cart 20 feet. It would have been easier for her to tell me the policy and just let me pass.

So she came running up to you? Sounds like you were there pressing buttons on an elevator you didn't have any access or authorization to be in. With or without this security guard, you weren't going to be using that elevator. Do I have that right?

You broke the rules. What makes you think you’re better than everyone else? The security guards job is to make sure people follow the rules.
