Go. Mandeville and Fountainbleau are really good public high schools. The towns (Covington, mandeville, madisonville) are actually fun and great places to raise families

He’s not talking about the best place in the country to live, shitbrick. He’s talking about relocating in state.
shite attempt at trying to derail the thread.

For clarity...the link that I provided was for National Merit Finalists.

One thing that the northshore does lack is golf courses. Its needs a few more. Whenever I have played up there with friends that live in area they are all packed every time. Unless I just have bad luck. Except abita springs. But that place has fallen off

Which company? Most will give hazard pay if relocating within 25 miles of Slidell.

North of I-12, closer to 190. Looked at some houses online and the wife likes several she saw in Madisonville. Are there any parades out that way tomorrow? Might take a ride and scope it out since we’re off.
Ok, now I can help, I think!
First of all, yes, there are parades in Covington tomorrow. It crosses over 190 at one point. Take a look at the map online to see if this parade is in your way. I suggest just waiting until 3PM to allow all the festivities to end.
Madisonville is a wonderful area! Your morning commute will not be bad. You can leave at 6:30 and shouldn't have any issues getting to that area by/before 7 AM.
Now, your eveningss could be a living hell! The I12/190, I12/21, I12/1077 corridors are bumper to bumper, slow as molasses during the hours of 4 to 6. Some days are worse than others, but that drive will be just like BR traffic! Both East and West bound lanes. I mean....the crime is low, though! Lol
It's a great place to live, though.

Ihven't read all the posts so this may be redundant, but it's well worth sayinf twice. Let me add, the larger the company, the more the following applies.
Almosst any time a person is offered a promotioon, management has a series of promotions and reassignments planned. If any one person involved says no, the entire plan is shoot to he!!. Management will not take kindly to having their plan scuttled. Saying no is very often a career limiting step, and may well be a career terminating step.
The higher you are in the food chain, the more it upsets management, because there will be fewer quilified people available to move into the job you rejected.

There are admission standards but achieving an 88 or greater on the IOWA test isn't that difficult.
Ben Franklin is a magnet school and the 88 on the IOWA test would be the first step in the application process. Comparing traditional public schools to magnet schools is like comparing apples and oranges. Additionally, look at the geographic footprint...2.5 x the size. Simply put, you are being disingenuous.
FWIW, Ben Franklin is an excellent school imho, and the data supports my view.

BR Traffic to and from Zachary shouldn’t be confused with BR Traffic to and from Ascension. SBR traffic is otherworldly.
