Join the club. I unload the dishwasher because my wife doesnt load everything straight and orderly, then I turn it on and run it when everything is 'right'.

I was OCD when they first approved my account and the "s" was lowercase.

No way I could log in to scooba.

They granted my request to capitalize it.

Pay no attention to the incorrect spelling.

For real though, I used to get bad anxiety and running/working out was a huge help. Just wearing yourself out makes a big difference. Not sure if this helps with OCD but if not, you're still getting in shape.

Just do your best to not focus on the retards that can properly rack the plates

Simple first step Bro. It all starts there.

I've been struggling with moderate to severe anxiety the past few months.

Working out helps in the moment, but I find I later obsess over not working out hard enough, wanting to read about new fitness methods, or caring too much about how to eat better.

Started taking something today. We'll see if that helps.

I take Prozac and find that it helped a lot with my OCD. I had it very severe. I will say it has some side effects, mostly that it sometime overcompensates and you don't care about things that you should. But personally I'd rather that than suffering like you are now

I'm assuming you are seeing someone if you are taking something but you should track and document your mood throughout each day. Then report it to your doctor to see how the meds are working for you. I had a good friend that was OCD and unfortunate thought he could self medicate with Xanax

Yea, I'm working with an MD. It's weird because I actually felt great the past two days and considered not even mentioning my issues at the appointment today.

Sometimes it's easy to convince yourself that you are doing better than you really are.

It sucks to admit your faults but having a therapist or doctor and not telling them everything is only doing a disservice to yourself. Good luck man and stick to whatever plan the doc gave you

Indeed. I have also been working with a therapist the past few weeks. Don't really why I felt like not even saying anything. It's like I know better, but felt like maybe I was ok. Deep down I probably didn't want to admit weakness.

Anxiety is something I've battled off and in for years, but things got worse around the time my second kid was born in the spring. I've been medicated for other stuff, but this is my first time taking something specifically for the anxiety.
