I had this issue in my early 20s. Drove myself nuts overthinking, over analyzing and redundantly checking things. Booze helped rewire my brain, but created a whole new set of problems.

You don't have OCD, you just have no will power or self control
I struggle with it too, but not as bad as you do. You checking the internet every two minutes isn't a damn medical condition, you just can't control your impulses.

B.S. The brain is an organ just like any other in your body and can be defective. Has nothing to do with will power.

Yeah, it is horrible. But it can even get much worse. Thinking you're going to do something violent even though you won't. Thinking something tragic is going to happen even though it probably won't. Constantly worrying to the point that you're just checking over and over again like you describe.

Read "The Power of Now". It'll change your way of thinking. That's all OCD is, trapped in a repetitive mindset.

Exactly.. I'd be willing to bet he slowly evolved into the state he's in now.. he didn't just wake up like that.. he slowly became 'addicted'
